This is a beachcomber’s paradise with miles of unobstructed beach to explore! Enjoy fishing in coveted “Admiralty Bay” where the silvers and pinks run and jump for your entertainment! Fish for salmon on the beach! Throw a crab pot & enjoy your catch in the outdoor fish cooker! We are close to gorgeous state parks and charming towns nearby! Bring the whole family, your best friends or enjoy the seclusion yourself in the hot tub, on the wrap around deck or at the firepit! Pamper yourself with heated kitchen and bathroom floors, air-conditioning, a gas fireplace, and access to the Community Pool (seasonally)! It is pretty magical enjoying your morning coffee on the expansive deck or in the hot tub. Did I mention the breathtaking sunsets?

Our Space/Great Room

You will enter our home walking up the wrap around deck to the keyless entry lock on the front door. Upon entering you will immediately notice the vaulted ceiling, beautiful design and stunning views from the two walls of windows in the Front Room/Dining area. A local architect built this home for himself and has been referred to as the “Butterfly Home”. Take a look out the telescope or put on a fun record to unwind and take it all in. With a comfy, roomy couch (sleeps 2) you can enjoy the 64”Smart HDTV with expanded cable choices and Roku available with your sign on. A 65” stylish ceiling fan with remote keeps you comfortable with circulating airflow. There are books, games and puzzles in the tv credenza and a weather station on top. We have several books from local authors on the history and wildlife on Whidbey, as well as a series from a famous fiction writer. Turn on the cozy gas fireplace and take in the ambiance of the space. Tucked in next to the fireplace you will find a pull-down dedicated workspace set up with fast Wi-Fi (291-378mbps), and a comfortable chair. Baskets of throw blankets make it one cozy place! On a clear day you can see the stunning Olympic Mountain range.

Dining Room/Kitchen

The dining room table seats eight with plenty of lighting for dining, games and fun! A turn to your left shows you the new custom kitchen including Herringbone heated floors, new cabinets and all black stainless appliances including a refrigerator/freezer with icemaker, and filtered water; electric range; microwave and dishwasher. We have a Keurig Coffee Maker with assorted options of coffees (both caffeinated and decaf), as well as a drip Mr. Coffee Maker and a grinder if you like to grind your own beans. Assorted teas (both caffeinated and decaf) are above the coffee area. A smores station and backup supplies has you ready for fun at the fire pit! You are all set for staying in and cooking with our gourmet cookware or just enjoying the gorgeous kitchen to prepare your charcuterie and wine! Well stocked with pots, pans, appliances and dishes as a cook's kitchen should be, you’re ready to cook or bake to your heart's content. If cooking is not in your plans there are lots of options close by to pick up lovely local meals!

Master Suite

As you enter you immediately notice the stunning view of the Puget Sound through the large sliding doors. Light filtering blinds with room darkening curtains over sliding doors. A King Size Luxury Dream Cloud mattress with cozy bedding awaits. Night stands with travel adapter and additional charging cube, personal fans. A 44" Smart HDTV w/Roku and cable, built in cabinets, two separate closets with plenty of hangers, luggage rack, extra bedding and a hotel safe. A Yoga matt, roller and two 8# weights. Ottoman for extra storage. Locking bedroom door.

Ensuite Master Bath

Spa retreat with heated floors! Tile with glass, walk in shower with shampoo, conditioner, body wash; floating sink cabinet with hand soap and body lotion. Tissue and toilet paper. Wall mounted makeup mirror, hair dryer and curling iron included. Spa towels.

Guest Suite

Wander down the hall to your left into the first guest room with a King Size Luxury Dream Cloud mattress and plush bedding. 44" Smart HDTV w/Roku. Matching night stands equipped with charging stations, travel power adapter and extra charging capabilities. Room darkening shades. The closet contains bedding for two queen inflatable beds with extra blankets, pillows, etc. There is room in the Living Room for inflatable beds. Locking bedroom door.

Bunk Retreat

Kids will delight in spending time in this fun filled room with NEW STURDY WOOD double bunk beds with XL Memory Foam mattresses and colorful bedding. Filled with games, books and toys for all ages, here you will find an XBox 1S with 2 controllers and 11 games. A 32" Smart TV w/Roku. Snuggle up with comfy pillow game chairs. Two queen auto inflating beds (either in closet or under bunk beds), hangers, luggage rack and extra bedding. Room darkening shades! Pack and play with bassinet and sheets in closet. This room works great for a girl’s weekend too!

Guest Bathroom

A spa like space with heated floors, tile and glass shower including shampoo, conditioner, body wash; floating sink cabinet with hand soap and body lotion. Tissues and toilet paper. Wall mounted make up mirror, hair dryer and curling iron. Spa towels!

Spacious Laundry Area

Large capacity, top loading, Whirlpool washer and dryer with laundry soap, dryer sheets, fabric softener and stain remover. Additional towels and linens, beach/hot tub towels in cabinets. First aid kit, flashlights, batteries and hot tub supplies in cabinets.

Heating & Cooling

Our home has a new furnace with air conditioning (2022)! We also have a hard-wired Generac generator for those stormy days when the power goes out, your vacation is not interrupted! There are also box fans, nightstand personal fans and an oscillating fan for your comfort.

Housekeeping Closet

In the hall closet you will find an iron and ironing board, a drying rack, broom/dustpan, step stool, vacuum and cleaning supplies. There is a full-length mirror on the wall in the hall.

Exterior Patio/Backyard

Wrap around deck. Entry onto deck requires steps onto all three areas. Outdoor patio table with seating for 8 with umbrella. Two separate seating areas, one with two chairs and table, the other off the master suite with a couch, side table and two ottomans. You step off the back deck to a 6-person luxury hot tub with plenty of jets and a fantastic view of the water! Sturdy stairs to beach. Gas BBQ grill, extra patio chairs, a fire pit with 6 Adirondack chairs (complimentary firewood provided in the tub under deck next to hot tub) and a fabulous art piece with three dolphins to take your picture with!

Garage

Access by remote. In our spacious garage you will find 4 adult bikes, 2 junior bikes and 2 scooters with all sizes of helmets. You will find 3 single kayaks with life vests in a variety of sizes. Putterball, Cornhole, beach buckets and play toys. High chair, extra patio chairs and storage for patio furniture covers and cushions. A propane fish cooker with propane and a large pot (please cook all fish outside!) A complementary propane tank and backup firewood/fire starters. A highchair. Box fans. Two blue recycle containers (we handle recycling disposal ourselves).
Guest Access/House Rules

  • No smoking/vaping inside home or outside on property.

  • No parties unless pre-approved by host.

  • Events must be pre-approved by owner – Different rates apply.

  • No illegal substances allowed on premises.

  • No pets - inside or outside, sadly I'm allergic and can make no exceptions.

  • Driftwood is not to be removed from beach or burned.

  • Community rules state campers and RVs are not allowed to be parked in the driveway of Admiral’s Cove homeowners.

  • Additional guests, not disclosed at time of booking, will result in additional fees charged to guest.

  • Minimum age of primary renter (guest) – 21. You must be 21 years old or older to book.

  • Stays limited to 28 days.

Neighborhood Description

Our home is located in Admiral’s Cove Beach Club Community on the beach, just a two-minute walk to the Clubhouse where they have a playground with new playground equipment, a basketball court and an outdoor heated pool with lifeguards. The pool open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Children under 6 must have an adult in the pool with them. Children under 12 must have a parent with them at the pool. There is a Complimentary Beach Club Pass to present at the pool showing you are a guest of Beach Dreams on Whidbey. We are also a short walk to Driftwood Park for beachcombing adventures. Our neighborhood is located just minutes from the Coupeville/Port Townsend Ferry and Fort Casey. This is a quiet beachfront community. We ask that you respect our neighbor’s privacy. Our neighborhood rules state quiet time is between 10pm and 7am daily.

Valet Garbage Service

On the front left side of our home there is an area built for our garbage can. Weekly garbage is picked up by Island Disposal and they return the can back to its area. No need to take the can to the roadside!

Guest Access

You will have access to the entire home, with the exception of locked cabinets in the home labeled Housekeeping and some private cabinets that are simply locked. In the garage you will have access to the main garage (except Housekeeping black cabinet) with the exception of the locked door into the basement electrical room.

Parking & Facilities

There is parking space for two vehicles in front of our property and one space in the driveway. There is free street parking. We have 4 adult and 2 junior bikes with assorted helmet sizes available. You can ride the bikes to the ferry for a day trip to Port Townsend or Coupeville! We have 3 kayaks and assorted sized life vests. There is an Island Transit bus available at Coupeville Ferry Terminal. Find the schedule for Island Transit online.

Dolphin Art Piece

Whidbey Island Naval Air Station does fighter practice in the area, and while fun to watch, it can get loud at times. The current schedule is available by doing an internet search on Whidbey Island Naval Air Flight Schedule. Their schedule is posted one week in advance. As a courtesy we have provided ear plugs should Maverick be out practicing during your stay! Our property is covered in beach rocks, driftwood and landscaping.

Two security cameras are on our property. One on the front of the garage and one over the front door. These cameras are not turned on when we have guests staying at our home.

Accessibility

There are nine steps onto the deck to enter the home from the parking area. We have the walkway and stairway lit up at night for your safety.

Liability Waiver

Any and all water activities (including using hot tub), swimming, boating, kayaking, paddleboarding, etc. are done at your own risk, as well as all sporting activities such as bike riding or using the equipment at Admiral’s Cove Beach Club.

Damage & Incidentals

You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our standard check-in time is 4:00 p.m., and the check-out time is 11:00 a.m. PST. We will send you check-in instructions 3 days prior to your visit to make it a smooth arrival! The evening before you check-out, you will receive check-out instructions to allow you time to enjoy your departure morning and not feel rushed.

High season (March – October) we are not able to accommodate early check-in or late check-out as our home is often booked back-to-back (with guests coming the same day guests are leaving). Time is needed for our cleaning team to clean and sanitize the home in preparation of every guest's stay. In addition, our spa maintenance team cleans and sanitizes the hot tub between every guest stay. If your stay is November through February and you would like to check to see if a late check-out or early check- in can be arranged, please reach out to [email protected].

While our Washington State Ferry System usually does an outstanding job transporting passengers and vehicles all over the islands, however, it is not uncommon for them to move around boats and announce they only have one boat every hour instead of a boat every half hour making the trip. On your travel day, I would highly suggest you check WSDOT website to decide the route you wish to take for a smooth arrival.
Another wonderful option you have with Whidbey Island is the ability to drive onto the Island by coming over Deception Pass, so if the ferry lines are too long, you have another option. Deception Pass is a beautiful destination as well as travel route! Keep your cameras at the ready!

Going North or South on I-5, take Exit 230, then travel 12 miles West on SR 20. At the traffic circle, take the second exit and stay on SR 20. In .6 mi, at the next traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on SR 20 W.
You will pass Deception Pass State Park in 3.4 miles. Keep going South across the bridge on SR 20 for about 1.6 miles. At the traffic circle, continue straight onto SR 20. In 7.8 miles, in Oak Harbor, turn right onto SR 20 W/W Pioneer Way. In 16 miles turn right onto E Admirals Drive. Follow the road which will take a bend to the right. When you come to a stop sign, turn left onto Bryd Drive and follow it down to the waterfront. When you get to the Community Center the road takes a turn to the right and becomes Keystone Avenue. Beach Dreams on Whidbey is on the left, 119 Keystone Ave, Coupeville, WA 98239.

Yes. The Prairie Center Red Apple Market on the corner of S Engle Rd/Main St and SE Terry is a great store and only six miles away.

Yes. The Coupeville Prairie Perks is just South of the Red Apple Market on SE Terry Rd. They make good espresso drinks and have other yummie items as well.

Callen's Restaurant is just 3 miles West down S Engle Rd across from the Coupeville Ferry Dock. They have great food and will do take out.

Yes. Next to the Coupeville Ferry Dock at Fort Casey Beach and Keystone Spit there is a public boat ramp. We also have a mooring bouy off our beach to keep your boat close by.
